Today we went to Camden Markets. It's a combo tourist trap and goth haven. Lots of studded belts and piercings. But it's great because you can walk around for hours and there's lots of hand made stuff and trinkets. Everybody and their grandmother were selling these really cute fabric critters, which I'm totally gonna try to make when I get back. Anyone wanna join me?

I did buy a little zip up jacket and some mitten/gloves. We saw a green feathered pigeon
And a store going out of business or getting ready to open for business..
We walked around for about 4 hours and then had lunch at the Elephant's Head. Got home around 3:30pm-4pm.
When we got there we saw this taped to the front door...
Napped a bit, then Gus and I went out for a walk and went to The Swan, our local the last time we were here.
Stats about today:
Steps taken according to my pedometer 10036
Pints drunk 4
Number of men who went into the ladies room accidentally at the Elephant's Head 3
Tomorrow the plan is to go to the Tate Modern, walk along the river and try to hit Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, and Soho.
LOL @ the Kanye glasses. Sounds like you're having a blast. Good on ya, mate! :)
ReplyDeleteJust spent FIVE hours ensconced in a FW marathon. Can you say baby drama?!

P.S. Do these fabric critters look like beanie babies?
Looks like you are off to a great start to a marvelous trip. Love the hat and the statues of you and Gus:) Love to see a picture of the fabric critters. Can't wait to see and hear more about your trip. It brings back wonderful memories of when Bob and I last saw Europe almost 30 years ago. I'm sure it's more americanized than it was back then but there should still be a charm that you will be able to enjoy. Till your next post....Have fun:)
ReplyDeleteOh god, please tell me you buzzed the "Gay Escort". Lol.
